For this Assessment, you will answer a series of short answer questions to demonstrate your understanding of the key concepts and principles related to the study of world religions.

In order to achieve Meets Expectations for a particular row of the rubric, you must have adequately completed all criteria in that row. This means that you have addressed all required elements to the required level of quantity and/or quality.
In order to achieve Exceeds Expectations for a particular row of the rubric, you must have adequately completed all criteria in the row, and in addition, your response must reflect a depth and breadth of knowledge and expertise. Examples of this include—but are not limited to—the following:

Religion can provide a connection for people based on common ethics, morals, and spiritual beliefs. The foundations of religious traditions allow for the answering of certain questions pertaining to how we came to be, why we are here, and what will come of us after death? The Global Village allows individuals to examine how religious foundations in different parts of the world play an integral part in various aspects of society. For this assessment, you will consider what you have explored in this Competency related to religious foundations and traditions, the sociological study of religions, and the role that the Global Village plays in our study of religion today.
