Read the section of Chapter 8 which deals with the Crime Funnel (pp. 128-130).

Discuss your thoughts about the author’s premise that police focus too many resources to catch the “low hanging fruit” and should concentrate on “criminal leaders and specialists”. Do you agree?  Why or Why not?

What do think about the author’s ideas about how an increase in enforcement or reported incidents whould impact the criminal justice system?
